Quilty weekend. What else.

We had a grate weekend, as usual. The kids got to try out their new ice skates and I got to try out my old ones, it was way to cold though so we only managed to skate for about fifteen minutes. The kids were so happy, and I have to admit that it is sort of fun to skate, if it`s a bit warmer.

My latest quilt is coming along nicely, I`m in love with the colors I picked and I can`t wait until it`s finished. I think I`m going to have some problems deciding witch color/colors to use for the border that I`m planing to make, but that problem is going to have to wait a while. I`m so sick of all the ironing though, every little square has four seems that`s been ironed, and there are 256 squares. And then I have to iron them as I sew them together to, ah the horror.

I`m going back to school this semester as well, I`ll keep working full time and study 50%, it`s a bit though but I`ll manage, it`s only a couple of months. The subject is neurodevelopmental disorders, focusing on ADHD. It`s a lot of fun.

  1. Such a simple quilt and did I hear you say 'Thrift Store' sheets? Yeh, I'm over in Canada, trying really hard to spread the good news of frugal quilting with reused fiber. I'm going to follow you!
We live in similar geographic zones, winter is well into it here and its awesome!

    1. I put something there now, "Follow me by email", was that what you wanted?

Thank you for your sweet comment. I try to use fabric and sheets from thrift shops as much as I can, it brings personality and is good both for environmental reasons and economical ones. I clicked your name but couldn't see if you have a blog or not?

  3. Just started following your blog. Love the photos.

Both of my children have ADHD (probably got it from me although I was never diagnosed). It has its challenges.

    1. Thank you so much.
I work with kids with different diagnoses, right now autism, ADHD and tourette. There are a lot of challenges but I think it`s a lot of fun finding ways to help these kids to function as good as possible. It must be a lot of work having two at home, for me it`s a job and I get to go home and relax. You`re probably very strong.
