Cross stitch.
I started a new cross stitch that I really like, and the best part is that I bought all but three colors of mouline at thrift shops, and the fabric as well. That makes that old feeling the stitch has, or at least will have, real. I so love the colors I was lucky enough to find, threads has a way of making me so happy.
The sun is starting to get warm and my balcony is coming along nicely, it`s so nice to get to sit out there with a book or my cross stitch, and a cup of tea of course. I don t get people who don`t like tea, they are so missing out.
We seized the chance to get some sun and went to the sea yesterday, it was so much fun. The water was of course freezing but the kids got wet anyway.

My very first granny squares.
I made my first granny squares ever. Ever as in ever. They took some time to finish but it was so fun making them that it didn`t matter. I`ve been wanting to make a pillow for my balcony with lots of color and this one is going to be perfect. I`m planing to make one with granny stripes in the same colors to but I haven`t had the time yet.
I`m getting my balcony in order now, the weather is warming up and all the seeds I`ve planted are starting to come up. In a couple of weeks it`s going to be warm enough to put the flowers out and to sit on the balcony and just enjoy the warmth, I can hardly wait!
I`m feeling very creative these days and the hours I have to make stuff isn`t even close to enough, work seems sort of boring and I`m so looking forward to getting some weeks of this summer. The thought of sun, time of work and doing what ever I want almost seems to good to be true.

Postage stamp quilt.
So I`m making a postage stamp quilt, my first one. I have way to much scraps of fabric so I thought this would be a good way to use up some of it, I ran out of colors after a while and decided to use some of my new fabrics as well.
I`ve cut out all the tiny little pieces now, I`ve sewn them together in rows of five and I`ve even pressed them. Next step is to sew then together to squares of 25 in each.
I sort of have a plan for how the whole thing is going to turn out but I am having problems with what color or colors to use. I didn`t think about colors at all when cutting the pieces, my plan was to use as many scraps as possible and let the color work them self out later. Well now is later and I don`t have a clue. I`ll let them sit for a few days and maybe the perfect solution will just come to me, through magic...or bloggers. ;)

Belt buckles.
Can you imagine the feeling of total happiness when I found those wonderful, colorful little belt buckles at a thrift shop this weekend? I love them, I love that they are small, that they are colorful and that they are so many. An the fact that I paid 0,45USD(3kr) each. Oh the`re great.
I also bought some fabrics, and I started a new quilt, using some of my scraps. A postage stamp quilt, how crazy am I...
I`ve squeezed in some crocheting, some embroidering with my son and lots of long walks with my mom, her dog and my sister as well. The sun shines here almost every day now and the snow is slowly melting away, spring is so close one can smell it now.

Cotton pearl I love you.
I treated myself to some cotton pearl the other week and I`ve been busy colorsorting them since then. I already have lots of nr 5 but I didn`t have any nr 8 and I`ve really been wanting that for a long time so I finally just bought some, or to be specific I bought 60 little rolls of it, but I mean it`s thread, one can never ever have to much thread. Right?
